After 15 days of quarantine, passengers confirmed to be free of infection began disembarking on February 19th, 2020. This historic event marked the end of an unprecedented quarantine period implemented to contain the spread of a novel virus.

The quarantine, which began on February 3rd, 2020, was the first of its kind in modern history. Over 3,700 passengers and crew members were confined to the ship, the Diamond Princess, as health officials worked to identify and isolate infected individuals.

During the quarantine, passengers underwent regular medical screenings and were provided with essential supplies. A team of dedicated healthcare professionals worked tirelessly to ensure the health and well-being of everyone on board.

The disembarkation process was carefully planned and executed to minimize the risk of further infection. Passengers were tested for the virus before being allowed to leave the ship. Those who tested negative were released and provided with instructions on how to continue monitoring their health.

The successful completion of this quarantine is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all involved. It is a reminder that even in the face of a global pandemic, it is possible to contain the spread of disease and protect the health of our communities.
